You don't need a golden ticket to enter the Color Factory (you can just pull up your reservation on your phone), but it is just as full of candy, treats and magic around every corner as if Mr. Wonka designed it himself. The vibrant colors in this place made it inherently happy. When you first go inside, you’re greeted by guides in brightly colored jumpsuits. Lately I’ve been itching to visit New York City, so yesterday decided to make it happen. Since it was a weekday, all my usual travel buddies were otherwise employed. But I had a free day and the weather was perfect, so I opted to make the trip solo.
The idea of going to NYC alone initially seemed a little daunting, but when I broke it down none of the parts seemed scary at all: Driving to Staten Island. Riding the ferry. Walking around. Going to shops. Eating. Taking photos
So far, I haven't made any promises to you or myself about this blog space. I haven't stressed about a consistent posting schedule, or been strict about the type of posts I write. Like the fact that so far almost every post has been about motivation? That honestly wasn't the direction I was envisioning for this blog at all, but it's what's been on my heart to share. And I love that, because the one expectation I do have is that what I write is true and real and relevant to me
